Arts Night

Arts Night is Wednesday, June 3 from 7 - 8 pm. The kindergarten class will be performing a play. Attendance is required. This is a great time to invite friends and relatives. The children's art will also be on display. If you have any questions, please contact me: kwheeler@stjudesacademy.com.

Track and Field

Friday, May 29 is
track and field day.
We will be leaving at 12:30 pm to walk to a local part. Children will take part in running, jumping and throwing activities. Please make sure that your child is prepared for the day.
All students are to wear
their gym uniforms on that
day.
Check the weather to ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for that day. If the weather is warm on that day, consider sending your child in shorts as they will running and jumping and will become hot. Please apply sunscreen before sending your child to school. Also, please send a hat and water bottle as we will be outside all afternoon. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please let me know by Tuesday.

Favourite Books

We are beginning a new unit of inquiry.

The theme is

how we

express

ourselves.

For part of

this inquiry,

we will be

studying stories.

Please send in your

child's favourite story. I will be reading

the story in class and each student will

have the opportunity to tell the class

why they like the book. Please send in

the book by Monday at the latest.
